About Me/ Company

I am a warm natured middle-aged lady of good character, living in the Putney area of South West London.
Throughout my whole childhood we always had cats
as pets in the family home.

I have also owned two cats of my own as an adult.

I do not own my own cat at present and I really miss being around them.

I have had past experience of taking care of other people's cats/dogs, by staying in pet owner's homes when they were away, and looking after their pets (along with providing security for their house).
This is a service I have previously provided free of charge. However when the pet/home owners returned, they would usually bring me a small gift from their travels, as a token of their appreciation, always of their own volition.

This was quite some time ago however. But I have so many fond memories during my time involved in pet sitting, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience,
and would like to get back into cat sitting again.

I am still happy to do (residential) cat/pet sitting unpaid again, I will only ask for travel expenses to be reimbursed if you are not local.
*** Distance no object for residential sitting***

If it is a daily visit (non-residential) that you require, I will make a nominal fee of £7 per visit to cover commuting expenses.
*** For non- residential daily visits, I am willing to travel within a five mile radius of Putney SW15***

I want to look after cats because I love them, and enjoy being around them.
I am not going into this as a business, for commercial reasons, or to make financial gain.

I am unable to have my own cat at present, so I would consider cat sitting as a substitute for having my own cat, as a hobby, and as an enrichment to my life.

I am a lifelong lover of animals and a regular supporter of and donator to the RSPCA and other animal charities.

I am a long term vegetarian(borderline vegan), and hold fairly typical values of vegetarianism: compassion, ethical awareness, consideration etc.

I would also describe myself as a very conscientious individual.
I demonstrate a great deal of care in everything that I do.
I am unselfish and treat all living things with kindness and respect.

Qualifications & Training

No formal qualifications, but a genuine lifelong love of cats.
I am also an avid supporter and advocate for improved animal welfare globally.

Relevant Info

I hold a current Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (sometimes referred to as a "CRB").
This was obtained as a result of previous voluntary work I have undertaken, which involved having contact with vulnerable persons.

Other Services

Dog walking and small animal care can be provided if needed.
If resident care is required I will also look after house, water plants etc.
