Home-Hearts holistic Pet-sitting offers loving, holistic care in your own home when you need to, or want to go away. From a business trip or a romatic getaway, to a month or two away travelling - we tailor-make an arrangement package that purrfects suits you and your furry queens, kings and be-loveds :)

I (Autumn) set up 'Home-Hearts' a couple of years ago as i found myself always being asked to sit for friends, and then friends of friends, & i saw that there was a need for reliable, loving sitters. Many animals, especially cats, don't understand the sudden change of home or environment and it can unnecessarily cause a lot of stress for them, especially in catteries. This is a very loving, pampering and cuddly alternative :)

I have loved animals all my life, have a lifetime of experience caring for them, am often being adopted by neighbouring (and sometimes wild) cats and animals, and i always wanted to work with them. Since Home-Hearts was set up it has been a great success with bookings months in advance. When we do what we love, life moves! :)

Previous Experience

I have been around cats all my life, my first pet was Oscar :), who i remember choosing as a beautiful, bouncy black & white kitten when i was a small small child. He & I were best friends, having an inseparable bond all the way into my early teens. Even to this day he makes my heart light thinking of him.

I have sat for many people's cats, with their many different personalities (and tricks) throughout and before my pet-sitting days:
The shy and the showoff's;
The bossy and the indignantly aloof;
The independent night hunters and the - one's who want to sleep under the duvet with you at night;
The softies and the fiesty;
.. & even the tigers (who are really closet softies deep down).

I've also spent quite a bit of time working in and volunteering with animal rescue centres such as the RSPCA in the UK, Animal Axarquia Rescue in Andalucia, Spain and 'Cuatro Patas' (4 feet) charity on Ibiza island.

Relevant Info

As a holistic massage practitioner and yoga teacher, my approach to working with animals is equally as holistic. I take time to get to know each animal as a complete whole being - mind and body, diet and environment, personality and spirit. I am quite empathic by nature and this enhances my connection with animals and my ability to work with them in harmony with their natures.

I greatly admire the work of Anna Breytenbach - a south African pioneer in inter-species communication, something i believe is wonderfully needed in our world, and is a bit long-overdue.
