I have a cat called Max, who has been with me for 6 months. He moved in, having had no stable home for a time I am unsure of. He has recently had a bad bereavement. His sibling cat, has disappeared. She was a companion for him and he is experiencing a lot of symptoms of loss and he is showing signs of being depressed. I cannot stay home with him, except on days off and I have no family to pop in.
I want him to get a daily visit for about a month, to get him over this bad time. Then, if I need to go away for a few days, he will know someone else. I am not sure yet if I will be able to keep him long term, because it is a very anxiety provoking situation, and we do not live in a very cat friendly area.
I had not intended to take on a cat long term, although I really love them. I was intending to foster disabled cats who are unable to roam. However, having had Max I do not feel able to unsettle him again just now.
